While the Blessed Sacrament is exposed, the Church maintains the standard that at least two adorers are present to protect and honor the Real Presence of Jesus, vulnerable in this state. In the event that you will have to miss your regularly scheduled adoration hour, please refer to this 2-Step Protocol for finding a substitute.  

• Step 1: I am unable to make my scheduled hour:
   
  • Are there other adorers regularly present in my hour?
    • Yes: Notify them you will not be present. 
    • No: Move on to Step 2…

• Step 2: Covering your spot on your own:
  • Option 1: Go to adorationpro.org/magdalen and request a substitute for your hour (use "subpass" as your password).  If you do not hear back in a reasonable time explore Option 2.
  • Option 2: If the hour before or after yours has more than 2 adorers attending regularly, contact someone from one of those hours and ask them to shift to cover your hour for that week. Your day captain can assist with this.
    
    
• You can call your Day Captain in order to…
  • Follow up on an Adoration Pro substitute request (Day Captains can follow up via call/email)
  • Get contact information of other adorers, such as those immediately before or after your hour
  • Request substitute assistance from the Day Captain

• Is it an emergency/crisis situation?
  • Yes: the parish office should be contacted at (316) 634-2315. If it’s after-hours, dial '1' as this is a "sacramental emergency". One of the priests should answer. If they do not, you should leave a message.
