It has been such a FUN Catholic Schools Week! This is my favorite week during the school year! I hope your child has had a blast celebrating this week and hopefully parents can come celebrate tomorrow evening. 

What We Are Learning: 

• Math: Students will continue working in Topic 8 in Math this week. They will be learning how to compare fractions to one another. 

• Religion: Students will begin Chapter 11 in their Religion textbook this week. Students will be learning about the New Commandment that Jesus gave us. “Love one another, as I have loved you.” This is also called the “Law of Love.” They will be taking their Ch. 11 Show What You Know Quiz on Wednesday, Feb. 4th. 

• Social Studies: Students will get back into their Midwest Region this week. We will be learning about the Industrialization Period in the US and how the Midwest played a big role in that with factories and the assembly line. They will also be learning about what the Midwest looks like today. We will be coming up on our Midwest States/Capitals Test on Wed. Feb. 10th!  

A Few Reminders...

• Students are now allowed to bring water bottles that are stainless steel and they don't have to be necessarily clear. They are expected to ONLY have WATER inside of their bottle. Failure to abide by this rule will result in your child using only clear bottles for the remainder of the school year.  
• Every day your child should bring back to school their agenda and their school computer fully charged. 
• Please double check if your child has a pair of headphones at school! We utilize headphones many times throughout the week for Hallow or listening to a read aloud. Thank you so much!
