Music classes have been rolling--so so fast! I cannot believe we're "rapping" (pun intended) up the 1st quarter soon.

Speaking of "Rapping", come check out our 3rd/4th Grade Music Program Nov. 11th & 12th. You'll get to hear a "Prophet Rap" and some other great tunes that the students have been working on.

5th Grade just finished presenting "Great Catholic Americans". They did a tremendous job and I am so proud of them for researching, writing and sharing these amazing Americans with all of us. And they sounded pretty darn good singing too!

Pre-School and Pre-K are having fun with instruments and exploring tempo and dynamics through Fall songs.

Believe it or not, Kindergarten has been prepping their Christmas Songs. They'll sound AMAZING! We've also been doing some fun solfege (DO RE MI) games to work on our music skills!

1st and 2nd grade have been hitting the solfege games as well, and having a blast. We've also been exploring the Fruits of the Spirit to get ready for our Music program in January.

6th grade is finishing up their first ukulele playing test, 'You are my Sunshine" and doing really well.

7th grade concluded their Inspirational Speech Presentations and we're working on a fun video project incorporating our School Learning Dispositions: perseverance, wonder, reflection and self-management, or PWRS!

The 1st quarter Mustang Madrigals have been wonderful. Mrs. Pischnotte is again volunteering her time to accompany us this year and we are so grateful. As well, Mrs. Sherwood, our new Spanish teacher, is a very talented singer and she is helping the Choir as well. We've gained many new Student Cantors and are training them along side our more experienced ones. We are incredibly blessed to have so many MCS students participating in choir.

That leads right into our Mustang Praise Band. WOW! We had so many audition this year that we had to split the band into two units to fit them all in! Absolutely fantastic!! Praise God!!

God bless

Mrs. Gimino
